It's OK Thursday

Linking up with A Complete Waste of Makeup on this hot hot Thursday!
Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK to babysit at a real house, with real pets, and really want your life to be like that...

It's OK to look online for place settings that you know you don't need and will never use.

It's OK to spend too much time thinking about where Michael and I will be in 2 years.. a house? a dog? what type of dog? what will our shower curtains and towels look like? will we have a seasonal wreath? SEE! It's ok, it gets annoying though because I've got to wait....

It's OK to be SO excited for this weekend.. time spent at the lake and time spent with family!

It's OK to really want to stop blogging and take a nap. It won't be worth it, I work in a hour and a half.

It's OK to lose sleep, not to do productive things to watch Breaking Bad.

It's OK to eat a hotdog that expired 2 weeks ago (hopefully it's ok).

It's OK to be grateful that things work out in your favor.

It's OK to literally miss someone who you saw 5 hours ago.

7 Questions!!

This is my FIRST link up with Gentri Lee!

Let's get to asking!

1. If you could be any princess- which would you be and why?
I've thought about this a lot. I love Disney movies. So I'd say Jasmine or Pocahontas- although she's not technically a 'princess.' What about Princess Buttercup from The Princess Bride?

2. Do you have any odd habits? (do things in order, words that you say too often, etc)
I have to plan my day before bed. Like... I'm getting up at 8:30, leave by 9:30, go here and here... Then if my day doesn't go to schedule I get so annoyed.

3. What's your "go to" outfit?
Skinny jeans, t-shirt, & toms.

4. Do you have any siblings? What are their genders, ages, order of age, names, etc?
Yep, one! Heather 27!

5. What's your favorite precious stone?
All stones are precious! And all are my favorite. :)

6. If you had a check in your hand for 1 million dollars, what would you do with it?
Pay off my car and student loans. Give some to a charity & church. Buy a house. And lastly, go on a family vacation aboard.

7. What do you love most about yourself- physically (eyes, smile, hair, etc. I don't know a good way to word that question...)
Ugh. I don't like this question. :) I've got really long eyelashes and hair. I just wish my hair would grow quicker!

Oh How Pinteresting!

I am at work right now, trying to sneak in a few posts. Let's try this one first. It'll probably take me 30 minutes to do it.. I'm opneing and closing the browser. :)

Linking up with The Vintage Apple today. BTW, she's doing a giveaway- go check out today's post!

Weekend Round UP!

Happy Monday everyone! It's my birthday- hollllla. You know what I'm doing all day? Nothing. Not a thing. Plans to not step foot out the door. I honestly will probably be cleaning most of the day (and napping/ watching Grey's reruns). I have laundry for days to wash, and a sink full of dishes! Michael works all day so I'll be spending it alone. Oh well, at least I'm off work!

Let me prepare you... this roundup is going to have lots and lots of pictures, bad story telling, and jars! WOOT! Get ready, set, lets go!

Friday was my first real day off in about 10 days, and thankfully Michael was off too. So we met up and went to run some errands, even stopped for lunch with my mom. I love when I'm with those too.. Until they get on the same side and start disagreeing with me! They are seriously too similar sometimes. My mom wanted us to run to Walmart real quick before dropping her back off at her office. She also wanted us to go inside with her. Under my breathe I said to Michael 'I really don't want to go in here.' I hate Walmart with a passion. So we went in, to please her, and to my surprise she drug me in there to get me a new iPhone. For real! I was telling her that morning over the phone that while out running errands I was going to get a new one. Well she had planned all along to get me one for my birthday. She was texting Michael at lunch tell him that we needed to go pick me out a phone after lunch and yatta yatta. She's a sneaky little thing! After getting my contacts switched from my 3gs to my new 4, I couldn't stop playing with it! Love the camera on that thing! That night we met up with another couple for bowling! We got the best dang pizza there too, and played 3 games of bowling- one cosmic! I didn't lose every game for once!
Michael won 2/3 games. Look at that stance.
Sweet shoes.
The game I didn't lose. :)
Saturday Michael and I met for lunch before we both went into work. We were sitting at Fazoli's and I was daydreaming about jars as I was staring at the Peddler's Mall. Michael called me out on it. After lunch, and going back to gather my stuff to stay at my mom's that night, I did indeed go over to Peddler's Mall. Low and behold, I found my a dag on #13 Ball mason jar. I needed cried! I was a little lot more than I would want to spend on one, but still wayyy less expensive than I've seen before. So I texted Michael and asked if he thought if I should get it our not. We kept going back and forth.. he'd say 'no, you don't need to spend the money' and I'd say 'I have that money to spend' and he's say 'you don't need another jar' and I'd say 'Hello it's a #13 jar, how often do I find one?' After much of that going on, I bought it. I said to him 'I did it. I'm sorry if you don't think I should've but I did. It's a birthday gift to myself. I'm sorry you're mad.' Well guess what that sweetheart said to me... He said, 'I'm not mad. I can't even surprise you with a birthday gift. I saw that exact jar in there yesterday and was going to go get it for you on my break today.' I felt so bad. He says I'm difficult to buy gifts for and difficult to surprise, so I just ruined it! UGH! So after a bittersweet trip shopping
there, I went to work where it got slammed and killed my ankle!

My first 13 jar- I bought.
Sunday was so so very very nice! I stayed at my mom's house back home Saturday. I woke up to the smell of fresh cinnamon rolls. We went to a nice service at church with the family, then out to eat. Since I was in town already we did my birthday meal there. (My family goes out to eat for every one's birthday every year. There are 13 of us. Restaurants hate us.) My grandparents met my mom and I there first. Nona was so adamant about me opening their gift right away, even before the other's came. As I'm opening it she says 'Now you already ruined it for yourself a little bit.' I was so confused. I stick my hand in the bad and instantly know what it was. A JAR. ANOTHER #13 JAR to be exact. I was speechless. To now have two in my collection was so amazing. I teared up a little bit.  She said, 'I know Michael was going to get you one too and you ruined that for him, but here's another one too. I bought this for you a long time ago, so it's your first one. You can take the other back.' There was also a piece of Bybee Pottery in there. Bybee was a little local place where my grandmother grew up that made ceramic dishes by hand there in the shop. It closed down when I moved about 20 minutes away from it. I always am on the hunt of it at antique shops, yard sales, etc, since I never got the chance to make my own set. The piece she gave me yesterday was my great grandmother's. It has so much history. Can you just image someone you've never met, baking and cooking in something? It warms my soul. I'm glad I didn't wait to open in. I pulled myself together as the other's were walking in. My niece and nephew came in with my sister holding a balloon and some flowers. They are too cute. Alyssa kept repeating, 'Open the card.' She loves cards, just like her aunt! :) It was a silly card that said 'I double dog dare you....' That's all she wanted me to read, so was laughing so hard at that line- oh kids. We were at my favorite local hot spot- Ramsey's. I got the usual- a hotbrown. Delish! And since it was my birthday celebration I figured it was okay to get sweet tea... I've been trying to only drink water, juice, and milk. Then for dessert I got a Mayday pie, YUM! Stuffing my face and rolling my outside afterwards we all stood around for some pictures that I was making everyone take. I had told Alyssa that she could go with me to get my nails done if she wanted, so she did- along with my mom, sister, and nephew. We had a mani/ pedi day. It was so relaxing and fun to just sit around. I didn't want to leave. I went back to Mom's to gather my things and head back to Richmond for a cookout at some friends. Once I got there most of the people had left considering it started at 2 and was now nearly 7. Michael showed up after work and we all played some cornhole, ate some food, and talked till the sun sent us away.
Nona and my new beauty's.

This is a hotbrown for those who are unfamiliar!
Alyssa with my flowers and balloon.
(I look like my mom here)
And the Mayday pie, aka Derby Pie.

It was hot yesterday!

I opted for the spa version of a pedi! Scrubbed
 and heat wrapped!
Our mani/ pedis. I'm not normally a french tip kind of girl,
but I was feeling it yesterday.
Fun backseat photo shoot.
The inside of my drink. I kept having to
check for floating flies at the cookout.
It was such an amazing weekend. I am sad that it's over and that I'm spending the day alone! But maybe I need some me time. I complain I never get enough of that.

I hope you all had just as great of a weekend as I did.

Thanks for reading that crazy, random, bad story telling thang!

High Five for Friday!

Linking up (late in the day) with From My Grey Desk!

Photobucket

1. My birthday is this coming Monday and my mom surprised me with a new iPhone! YAYY! My 3gs was on the fritz and annoying the heck out me. She got a little sneaky with Michael and surprised me with the 4- in white- perfect! So let's facetime people.

2. I have been working NON stop this week. Seriously though.. From 9am-11pm I'm either working or driving to work. It has drained the life out of me. But today Michael and I had the WHOLE day off together so we've been running errands, catching lunch with my mom, and shopping around. We are going bowling here shortly with some other friends! Holla! (I'm so bad at bowling.)

3. Michael got a new job! AH! He starts week after next. We are both nervous and excited for a change of pace.

4. I get to see my family this weekend AND have two days off. SAY WHATT!??! Yes! I took off for my birthday Monday and I somehow got off Sunday too. So I have plans to spend it with my family, get a mani and pedi, take naps, blog, and watch Grey's reruns!

5. I've started babysitting the cutest babes this week for my college professors that are married (and adorable). They are 8 weeks old baby girl TWINS and a 3 year old. Precious! It's hands down my favorite job out of the three. Their little smiles, cries, and big bellies! Aw.. so cute.

Well everyone, enjoy your weekend. I'll be back Monday for a double post... BIRTHDAY love and weekend wrap up!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

Linking up with the Mom-to- be at This Kind of Love!

I'm loving that I have been giving the opportunity to work 3 jobs. I man complain but it's a blessing. I need to remind myself that.

I'm loving that Michael got a NEW JOB! Yes blogger world.. I've kept it under wraps until it was official and it now is! He starts a new sales job in 2 weeks! AH! We are both a little nervous and excited. Prayers would be much appreciated!

I'm loving that I have Friday off! It is a day with my babeeeee! I haven't seen him all week. I have been working 9:30am-11pm!

I'm loving that Michael and I talked for an hour and a half last night about everything. It was sweet.

I'm loving talks with my friends.

I'm loving my hair today. Sock roll curls are brilliant!

I'm loving that one week from today is my birthday!!! I'm not doing much and really want anything.. sleep in, laying around, and dinner with the family- that's all I want!

I'm loving my blog again. I look forward to blogging, reading and writing. I've been missing that for a while.

I'm loving a lot, but I'm honestly too tired to type it all.

Weekend Round Up!

So, better late than never right? This is the start  middle of my busy day week! This dummy here, took on a third job. Yes, another. I seriously am so stupid. I complain enough about not having any social life, time with my family and friends, or even myself, and then went and agreed to babysitting and running errands for my professor (who just adopted 2 sweet baby girls last month, and have a 3 year old already). Whatever. It'll be worth it, they are super nice and cute kids. I need a break from 'corporate' clock in and out jobs!
So if you want to catch me, I'll be working from 9am-11pm Monday- Thursday and Friday/ Saturday/ Sunday from 2-10pm.

ONE WEEK from today is my birthday! AHH! All I want is a pleasant dinner with the family!

PSS- check out my pages, I've changed them up a little. I'm trying to spruce this place up a little at a time.

Let's get to the weekend...
Saturday was a little bit of a relaxing day. I laid in bed until about 11, went to run some last minute errands like tanning, getting flowers for my mom for Father's day (yes), and getting a wedding gift for the wedding I was going to that evening. Procrastinator? Me? Nooo! Michael, his mother, and I headed to Winchester for Michael's childhood friend's blissful day. It was a small, intament ceremony. Non- traditional and laid back. She was so beautiful. I heard all these stories about how she and he would do this and do that, it was really cute. He's so cute too. Ah!

Sunday was a busy day- like most of my days! Lunch back home with Michael's family for Father's day and June birthday's. I got a Bed, Bath, & Beyond gift card, along wiht some other goodies- holllla! After stuffing my face, a little bit of video game watching, and laughs I had to go to work. :( It was a pretty steady night. When I got home I did some online surfing and knocked out!

All in all, it was a pretty swell weekend. I saw family, ate good food, witnessed a lovely wedding, and hung out with the bofriend! Successful to me!

High Five for Friday!!!

Linking UP with Lauren over at From My Grey Desk for top five Friday thingsss!

Photobucket

1. Having tomorrow off is what's getting me through this week. Lots of wedding bliss will be in tomorrow's air. Michael's cousin's wedding, a wedding shower, and another wedding I unfortunately can't make. It's going to be FUN, I hope. Now to figure out what to wear. AH!

2. I'm starting to spruce up my little bloggy here a little at a time. I added an 'about me' and added a little more bio to each page. Check them out and let me know what you think! It's so fun to have a place to escape to, isn't it?
3. Last night I tried out the sock bun roll to get some curls. I am still currently wearing this mess of a bun on top of my head. I'll post about how it turned out!

4. Realized how blessed you are is a bittersweet feeling. Bitter because why don't I always realize that? Sweet because well it makes you feel good and safe. It's a great to be able to talk with some friends casually about issues, them realizing their are problems, and willing to fix it and try!

5. New expensive addiction; chicken teriyaki subs, fries, and LEMONADE. Whither it's Great Steak Potato or Penn Station, I've eaten 3 this week. They both have amazinggg fries too! And lemonade, let me tell you, I've drank more lemonade (sugar free or diet) since giving up caffeine than I have in my entire life. It's summer time, it's perfect time for lemonade!

Lastly, this is my 100th post! Finally!
Thank you all for keeping me going!
:)

It's OK Thursday.

Linking up A Complete Waste of Makeup for It's OK Thursday!

I've been dealing with a lot lately internally and trying to figure out myself with others. So today's link up is going to be very helpful to just get it out!!

It's OK to be annoyed with the way things are going.
It's OK to speak up about those things with those people.
It's OK to not say anything to some people who will blow it out of proportion.
It's OK to have only slept 5 hours last night.
It OK to over analyze and that everything personal.
It's OK to be über excited to go to a wedding this weekend with my Michael.
It's OK that people ask me everyday if we're engaged yet, and now I'm thinking maybe we should wait until I graduate.
It's OK to not really want to wait until I graduate, that 'that' thought lasts for .28 seconds. That's 2 more years people.
It's OK for people to feel the need to give me advice when they're the one troubled.
It's OK to just want to throw in the towel.
