Weekend Round UP & Engagement Talk!

So I missed Friday's post. I made it on my phone and forgot to publish it! BOO!
Let me fill you in on this weekend's GREAT events!

Friday I had lunch with Mom and Michael (never happens!) and did a little shopping! Ok, A LOT! Old Navy had the BEST sale EVER! The clearance was marked down to $2-$10, then 40% off THAT, plus a 20% off coupon I had! Needless to say, I got a ton of stuff... 3 jeans, 2 running/ yoga pants, a wind breaker, a leather jacket, at least 4 tanks, 10 shirts, a pair of shoes, and more crap for about $75. I be making a post strictly on this event! It was awesomeee! Anyways, I ran errands, turned in some job applications, and dinner with Michael's mom turned into a 4 and a half hour conversation about everything under the sun!

Saturday was just as busy!! Lunch and Peddler's Mall date with Emma. We I got so much stuff for her bridal shower, to fill up my car, and pointless crap, but I love it all! I went home and spent some time with my mom gardening and picking up sticks- literally. Hung out with my grandparents on the farm and went threw their barns to remind my grandpa of the stuff I wanted and what I was going to do with it. Meet up with some clients, grocery shopped, and cleaning up some!

One of Mom's peonies starting to bloom!
The blue barrel- for wedding decor.

Windows I want to make into picture frames.

Sunday was even busier! I had a birthday party to photograph of a friend's daughter's 5th birthday party. It was wild and fun. I rushed home to make some puppy chow and headed over to our friend's house for a cook out. It was so nice to sit around, talk, and laugh! I've been wanting to see Five Year Engagement so bad, so Michael took me to see it last night after dinner- for the 9:45pm showing! A little late. It was so cute. It was more of a chick flick than I expected, so it didn't keep Michael's interest but did mine. I won't give it away for you, but it's super cute and the ending melted my heart!

Engagement talk!
Yeah, so it's no surprise to my family and friend's that I want to be engaged like yesterday. But I've thought about it a lot over the last several months and I'm okay not being, and us just being the couple that is happy and together- why mess with it ya know? Well I am over that phase now. I'm back to wanting to get married soon again. I had a really great conversation with a friend the other night until about 1am and thinking, I do want this now and should talk to Michael about it again. So that I did. And long story short, we are going to look at rings this weekend- maybe tomorrow. AH! Now I don't want to pick out the ring (he thought I was just going to go show him the one I wanted). I've loved one style for a while now, but it's so popular, and how do you know you like something until you try it on? Anddd long story short, we got in a disagreement the other night about things and he blurbed out that he would be proposing in 'the next couple of months.' He said that after thinking that's what I wanted to hear. I just replied with 'DON'T TELL ME! I don't want to know anything!' He begs to differ, but I'm right. I guess my constant questions and wedding talk makes him think I want all the details. The wedding has been planned for about a year and a half now, it's just forking over the money and making final decisions. I am too excited!

Anyways! It's going to be a great week. Last week of classes and great things happening!

You have a great week too!

It's OK Thursday!

It's been a pretty rough week, so this link up with A Complete Waste of Makeup couldn't come soon enough!

It's OK that I have no more classes! SUMMER! I have crits next week, but those are easy and fun!

It's OK that still have a lot of work to do before that though.

It's OK that I think I'm changing my mind on some major details and nervous to say it.

It's OK that Michael tried something new and I didn't like it.

It's OK that I booked 2 photo shoots and 3 meetings this weekend on top of my plans already.

It's OK that I'm going to have to drive home everyday for the next 3 days. Buy buy gas, but hello friends and family.

It's OK that I really have no idea what I'm going to do this summer. I have a ton of craft ideas, and no job ideas.

It's OK that I am really grouchy this week. It happens.

It's OK that I have slept maybe 9 hours in the last 48... I can sleep in next Friday. :P

It's OK to want something so bad that it keeps you up, it's in your dreams, it's in your thoughts every hour, and it's just not the right time for it.

It's OK that I talked for about 2 hours last night until after 1am with a great friend about where our lives are going...

It's OK that our lives are soo similar with me being 21 and her being 39...

It's OK that we celebrated this girl friend's birthday this weekend and I didn't know she was turning 39- I honestly thought she was like 34.

It's OK that you've wasted your time to read all of this jumble- if you have! ;)

What's OK with you?
Have a great day yall.

Weekend Round UP!

I am so sad the weekend is already over. But it was such a great weekend!
Michael and I went and got lunch together- a Friday usual. Then went to Lowe's to look around. I could spend forever in there! It started with the paint section to pick out some paint for a cabinet we are going to refinish. We realized that when we get a house and have to redo stuff, it's going to be interesting... color choices, finishes, etc. We spent about an hour in there looking at tile, knobs, light fixtures, kitchen set ups. That evening I headed home and babysat two adorable babes and spent the night at my Mom's. It was so great to see her and talk face-to-face.

I woke up early to spend some time with my Mom before she went out of town for the day. I got started on taking the doors, hinges, and handles off the cabinet (it's currently in her garage). This cabinet is not that big. I seriously took me over 2 hours to get them all of. Whoever painted it before painted over the hinges so it was a little difficult! It's going to take a lot my sanding the I thought too. Usually I don't like to mess with old things.. I like to keep the oldness to them, but this one isn't a good one. It was a little crappy- with a lot of character! After giving up for the day I met up with some old friends for a lunch and a little shopping. We went to a new Peddler's Mall in town- that is 3 stories! I got a new jar and rolling pin! It took 2 hours to walk threw and we were power walking! After an exhausting morning and afternoon I went back to Mom's to get ready for a double date! Surprisingly my bff's fiance and my boyfriend have never really hung out. They've met but in large groups. We went to Mike's parents/ grandparents farm for the boys to talk tractors, farms, and trucks. Yes really. Well, Michael's dad did most of the talking. Michael grew up and worked on the farm, and Matt (Emma's fiance) works on one now. We went out for Mexican. What an adventure... our service was awful, they brought Emma's food out about 10 minutes after ours, mine was wrong, Emma couldn't get what she wanted- it was a mess, but the boys liked theirs and it was still fun! After debating between ice cream and bowling we went bowling. I lost- end of story. Just kidding! It was so fun!! Here's some pics!
The cabinet.

The color options.
Bowling scores... Michael, Me, Emma, Matt.

Slept in! Yes! Michael had ALL weekend, including Friday off, so we wanted to make the best of it. We decided to go hiking! We have both gone a lot but never together- how odd. So we tried out a park that we haven't been to before and had a blast. It was sooo cold today. I thought it would warm up so I wore shorts- bad idea. I seriously couldn't feel my thighs for like an hour after we left. We decided to take the trail over looking the Kentucky River. It was so peaceful and relaxing. A trail down and hike up! Man oh man did I get some cardio in! We have been talking about going for a while now so it was great to finally do it. We decided we are going to try to do it a lot more often now, like every other week. After thawing out and changing clothes, we met up with some friends for dinner- for Mexican again! After dinner I took a nap, watching some movies, and called it a night!

Kentucky River. Nice and green.

Enjoy your week everyone! I'm going to do my best to post this week still, but it is dead week and I a ton of stuff.

It's OK Thursday!

Where did this week go?
I haven't been on in almost two day and missed a couple of my favorite link ups, but made it to this one with A Complete Waste of Makeup.

It's OK that yesterday I woke up with a killing migraine yesterday for the second day in the row and couldn't handle it, so..

It's OK that I went to the hospital and got a SHOT in my BUM!

It's OK that the shot didn't even touch my headache.

It's OK that it STILL HURTS! (not as bad, but still pretty bad).

It's OK to be thinking about tonight Grey's for a week now.

It's OK to be sooo excited about this weekend!

It's OK that there are 1 WEEK left of classes... really 2 but last week is the week we can use the studios.

It's OK that I haven't done laundry in, umm about 2 weeks? I'm not down to bathing suit bottoms as undies yet, but I am down to the dressiest and the scummiest of things that I own. :/

It's OK that I watch some of the crappiest TV ever... Couple's Retreat, Real Housewives, 16 & Prego.

It's OK that I cry during sad parts of those shows. I'm sobbing while watching Couple's Retreat right now.

It's OK that I am soo not ready for photo crit today. I'm just voicing my options today, not my work, but photo critiques are exhausting.

That's all I've got for now ya'll. Enjoy your Thursday. It's almost Friday!!

What's OK with you lately?

Bucket List: Part ONE

I've been thinking a lot about life.. Where's it going? What happens after school? How did I get this old? Am I living enough? These are literally the beginning of my 20's- I need to act like it right?
I was talking to Michael the other night about this FUNK I've been in lately. I pitched my idea about our honeymoon... Whenever that may be. And he was kind of in...

We have talked about doing it since high school. I seriously want to drive up north, visit friends in Minnesota and Wisconsin, drive to Colorado to go skiing and see a my recently engaged friend, and down to New Mexico to visit my dear friend and her new born. I just don't think the typical week off will be long enough..

Here are some other things that are on my life long list:

These are just a few of the things that are on my list. Some of them are larger than others, but I just want to do them. I just want to do them all.

This being a 'part one,' I will return to this subject a time or two (or three) more to finish up.
Let me know what some of your "to- dos" are, I would really love to hear them! Or if you've done any of mine- tell me! I'd love to hear those stories!

Weekend Round UP!

I have been MIA on here since Thursday... :/

Well I've got a lot to talk about. A couple posts coming today- so beware!

This weekend was so fun! As always, my weekends start on

Friday. Michael and I headed to Lexington to do a few things before going to Keeneland, but didn't make it there in time for it to be worth it.... so we just walked around the mall, drove around our home town- literally.. We just took back roads, drove downtown, went past all stuff. It's been a little weird lately... When I moved out of that ghost town, I said I was never moving back. Well, here I am 2 years later and missing it soo much. Michael found out at that he didn't get that job he interviewed for (bummer), and it's seriously turned our life some loops. We want to move back home more than ever now! We miss out families, our friends, our homes. I also found out that I'll be in school a semester longer than i thought, so that pushes things back further for us. I would say hey, I'll move back home now- live with my mom again, commute to school, but going 4 days a week just isn't worth the gas and time back and forth. SO! We are putting a pin in it and just going to see how life plays out these next few months before making any rational decisions (like going back for my masters after graduation, getting new BIG jobs, moving home, getting engaged, etc). ANYWAYS that night was my grandpas Papa's 77th birthday! I asked him how old he felt and he said 97- silly man. I said he looks 37, he replied with 'If I had a nickle I'd give it to you for saying that but I'm poor. I've got a peppermint, want it?' He is so silly, sweet, and funny. He is the king of lame jokes.. example; while waiting for our table (which we had reservations for but still waited OVER an hour for), he looked at my mom and said 'What did you say?' she said 'nothing?' he replied with, 'I guess that's why I didn't hear you.' I guess you had to be there....

SATURDAY was craaazy busy. Wedding dress shopping for like 5+ hours with my bff Emma. She tried on 18 dresses I think her mom and I counted. Some good, most great. It was SO fun to be apart of. Her mom, my mom, and us.. Laughing, and me making her cry because I couldn't control myself. She found some really great dresses. I always pictured her in a small scale ball gown- not Cinderella or a cupcake dress, just something with a little poof. She said NO! She wanted something flowy and soft and simple. So we looked for those. She tried them on and they just weren't really doing anything for her or her body. So she tried on one poofy one that she liked- it opened all types of doors for her that she didn't think she'd have! It was so fun- and can't wait to try again!! After all that, I took a needed nap! Then dinner with Mike.

SUNDAY was chillll. I slept for about 11 hours, and took a nap for about an hour accidental. I did go into the studio to get some work done and fixed Michael dinner? Watched a lot of Sex in the City, Bride Wars, Frozen Planet, True Life, War of Worlds, and a bunch of other crap.

Happy Monday! Have a great week! :)

It's OK Thursday!

Linking up with A Complete Waste of Makeup for It's OK Thursday!

I'm going to take this time to vent a little about issues that are bothering me this week lately.. so they maybe a little longer.

This is me trying to let it all go...

It's OK that my very best friend, of over 13 years, is going to try on wedding dresses this weekend. I think it's just hitting me that she is getting married. I am going to try my hardest not to cry my eye out when she walks out in that first dress, but with her mom, my mom, some bridesmaids all staring at her, it's going to be hard.

It's OK that another good friend of mine had her second baby last night. She has a 2 year old baby girl, and gave birth last night to an 8lb. 8oz. baby boy, Hudson. She moved to New Mexico about a year ago. Her family from here in Kentucky was on there 20 hour drive there day before yesterday. They arrived at the hospital just in time for her to give birth. Isn't that incredible? She's an only child, and is so close to her and her husband's family. God is so great to make that little man wait for his Grandma to get in the delivery room before popping out.

It's OK that I found out some pretty awful news last night about my schooling. I SHOULD be graduating this semester, but I switched majors 3 times and transferred. It going to be 2 years now. It's just a semester longer than I planned, but it's throws a lot off, plus more money!

It's OK that I can't plan or stick to a plan everything. I do plans. Every night before bed I go through my plan in my head for the next day. I like spontaneous things, don't get me wrong, but for everyday life, I need a plan. I have a life 'plan' to. Not like 'in 2 years married, in 5 years we have kids, in 8 years we build a house, in....' I guess I have goals that I want done in a timely manor. I want us to move closer to home. I want to get married. I want to graduate. I want to own a little shop. I want to get over it.

It's OK that I am DONE with last project in metals. Well, almost done. I need to finish the necklace part. My next project is so BA, just saying. It's a mini production series!

My finished necklace? I'll post one soon of it on the body- it's
much better like that.

Enough with my soap box!

Enjoy your Thursday!

What's OK with you lately?
